The New Year
January 1, 2010So. 2010. Weird. It’s been a decade since the millennium began. I remember where I was, what I did, what I was wearing… and that was ten years ago. My New Year’s resolution for 2000 was to make more friends (I had just moved to a new state) and to stop wearing glasses. I knew I wasn’t able to get contacts until I entered middle school, but I resolved to annoy my parents until they let me. No, it didn’t work.
I’ve never really made very serious resolutions and have never stuck to them or filled any out. This year I was thinking making some goals would be really helpful to me however. So here are my 2010 Resolutions:
- Work harder in my classes- pay attention, do the homework and don’t procrastinate.
- Learn how to read music and play the piano- I want to be able to write music.
- Keep a journal- I don’t let any of my thoughts or feelings out of my head so they all store there and after a while it gets to be too much. I have to create some more space up there.
- Take better care of my voice- I’m sick of always having a sore throat.
- Be more active- My dance classes will help, but on the days I don’t have dance I want to start going to the gym.
- Rebuild, recover confidence and knowledge of my self that I have lost.
- Continue to learn and grow
- Gain more independence and become comfortable with alone time.
- Knowledge myself in every musical and play and actor there is out there.
- Take in everything possible that is applicable to my art form.
- Discover who I am.
